Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud has said that if a journalist critical of the government is upset, the welfare trust is open to him. The minister was speaking as the chief guest at a function to distribute aid checks from the Journalist Welfare Trust here on Tuesday afternoon. The event was held at the auditorium of Bangladesh Press Institute at Kakrail in the capital.

State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murad Hasan and Secretary Khwaja Mia addressed the function as special guests under the chairmanship of Managing Director of the Trust Zafar Wazed. The journalist-friendly Awami League government has ensured the freedom and development of the media and will continue to do so, said Hasan Mahmud. Regarding the medical treatment of BNP leader Khaleda Zia, Minister Hasan Mahmud said, “She was the Prime Minister of the country, a senior politician. I wish her a speedy recovery.” After defeating Corona, he recovered and returned home, this is my prayer to the great creator. ‘

At the same time, when asked by reporters about taking Khaleda Zia abroad for treatment, the Information Minister said, “Corona’s treatment is the same in all countries and our country’s treatment is much better.” So I don’t understand the idea of ​​going abroad for corona treatment. ‘
